The Lincoln County Beekeepers Association is a welcoming community of individuals who share a deep appreciation for honey bees and the vital role they play in our environment. Based in Lincoln County, North Carolina, the association brings together people from all backgrounds—experienced commercial beekeepers, small‑scale hobbyists, new learners, and even those who simply admire the biology and behavior of Apis mellifera.
As a nonprofit organization, the LCBA is dedicated to promoting responsible beekeeping practices, supporting pollinator health, and expanding public understanding of apiculture. The club provides educational programs, hands‑on learning opportunities, mentorship for new beekeepers, and monthly meetings where members exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and stay informed about the latest research and techniques.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in honey bees, whether you manage dozens of colonies, keep a single backyard hive, or simply enjoy learning about these remarkable insects. Through community outreach, workshops, and collaboration with local partners, the association works to strengthen beekeeping in Lincoln County and to foster a deeper appreciation for the essential work of honey bees in our ecosystems.

Bee School classes for 2027 begin on Tuesday, January 5th from 6pm – 9pm and meet once a week for six weeks. The cost is $100 and includes:
- 1 year of LCBA club membership and North Carolina State Beekeepers Association dues.
- A comprehensive beekeeping textbook
- A dedicated mentor to guide you through your first season.
